B-UHS Athlete of the Week 12-23-21

Senior Aidan Wilson, Senior B-UHS Wrestler in the 126-pound weight classification

Senior Aidan Wilson had an outstanding performance last week, finishing his two-day outing at the Musselman Duals by racking up a perfect 8-0 record. Wilson, a returning state qualifier in the 115-pound weight classification in 2020-21 season, kept his hot start to the 2021-22 wrestling to an undefeated record in the 126-pound weight classifica-tion last Friday and Saturday. Wilson has been a leader for the Bucs wrestling program with his attitude, work ethic, and competitiveness. Wilson and the Bucs will look to keep the momentum rolling as they next hit the mat with a trip to Parkersburg this week.

Junior #23 Forward Kendal Currence

Junior Kendal Currence played an important part in ensuring the Lady Bucs lived up to lofty expectations at thestart of the season. In a game against the Musselman Lady Appleman, Currence was a stat-sheet stuffer on both sides of the ball, securing re-bounds, blocking a couple of shots, and nabbing a half-doz-en steals defensively to go along with her solid 11-point contribution on offense. Currence looks to continue her well-balanced play as the Lady Bucs prepare to travel to Pennsylvania for a holiday hoops tournament hosted by Cal University (PA).
