BUCKHANNON — West Virginia Wesleyan College Lady Bobcats Softball star Alli Robinson was selected as its Athlete of the Week.
The junior shortstop’s hitting streak is nothing new to those familiar with the Lady Buccaneers softball program. The Buckhannon native’s decision to stay local has paid dividends for the Lady Bobcats softball program.
Last week, Robinson guided the WVWC Softball Team to six wins, with her bat playing a key role in the Lady Bobcats success. In her role as a key hitter in the WVWC lineup, Robinson went 10-23 at the plate and posted a batting average of .435. The junior infielder crushed three home runs, four doubles and 11 RBIs during the week. In total, Robinson recorded four multi-hit games last week.
The Buckhannon-Upshur High School graduate will look to continue her high-level play as the Lady Bobcats hope to extend their winning streak this coming week.
