BUCKHANNON— Audra Gray Farrar, 85, of Buckhannon, died Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston. She was born April 15, 1932 in Wild Cat, a daughter of the late Walter Guy and Garrnet Cooper Boggs.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her fist husband, Claude “Tab” Farrar; two brothers, Clarence and Junior Boggs; two sisters, Irene Fisher and Helen Peck and one granddaughter, Christina Wise.
She is survived by her second husband, Ronald Bennett, of Buckhannon; one son, Rusty Farrar and Nita, of Buckhannon; one daughter, Rhonda Wise and husband Ken, of Waldorf, Md.; one grandson, Kenny Wise of Waldorf; three granddaughters, Kimberly Wise-Welch and husband Andrew, of Waldorf, Tracie Wise and Sam Fairfield, of Wisconsin, and Shonda Lynch, of Buckhannon; two great-grandsons, Alex and Logan Lynch, both of Buckhannon; three great granddaughters, Ava and Taylor Lynch, both of Buckhannon, and Shawna Welch, of Waldorf; two brothers, Keith Boggs, of Ireland, and Kenneth Boggs, of Jane Lew; one sister, Pearl Shingleton, of Ireland, and several nieces and nephews.
Audra was a Christian by faith and enjoyed gardening and quilting. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received Sunday, May 21, 2017 from 4-8 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with the Rev. Chad Lewis and the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Burial will follow in the Heavner Cemetery in Buckhannon. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
