BUCKHANNON — Spring is finally here and it is time to get out and have some fun at the 2nd Annual Almost Heaven Rib Fest on Saturday, April 2 in downtown Buckhannon. The event will be held at the BiCentennial Inn, featuring some of the top BBQ teams in the country, a dozen crafters, food trucks, games for kids and entertainment. To date, BBQ teams will be traveling to Buckhannon from Philadelphia, Pa., W. Va., Va., Md., and Tennessee to compete in two nationally sanctioned BBQ Rib contests for cash, trophies and bragging rights.
Bring the family and enjoy kids games & activities, corn hole, a dozen talented crafters, delicious BBQ served by South Texas BBQ Company, mini donuts made to order by Hippy Dippy Donuts, pizza, hot dogs, burgers and nachos by Yumscape and other goodies from A. F. Wendling, so there’s a great variety of food for the whole family.
With the success of last year’s meal pick-ups, we’re pleased to offer BBQ combo meals to pre-order for drive-thru / pick-up or dine on the lawn from 1 to 3 p.m. at the BiCentennial Inn. Adult meals ($20 ea.) will include a chicken leg quarter (grilled by Mike Riffle of Weston – the premiere griller at the jubilee), pulled pork (smoked by Tim Hamrick of Giovani’s restaurant in Weston), homemade mac and cheese, baked beans, dessert and bottled water. Kid’s meals will also be available for $5 with a hot dog, mac and cheese, baked beans, dessert and water.
A limited number of meals will be available, so place your order online ASAP at www.almostheavenbbqbash.com. For any additional information or to ask questions, call toll free at (866) 710-7600.
