BUCKHANNON — For years, the building that used to house Long John Silver’s has sat empty, waiting for someone to come along and purchase it for a new purpose.
Well, the wait is finally over following a purchase that was reportedly made just days ago, and demolition of the property began Wednesday. The buyer of the property, located at 553 Route 20 South, was not revealed; however, the hint of possible new construction was reported.
In coming weeks, the town may possibly see construction of a new and improved car wash, according to a source who wished to remain anonymous.
The Record Delta will be following the demolition and construction as it occurs to bring you the most current information.
